December 3332 - Axe Attacks Chrono

Highlighting the December 3332 Axe Attacks Chrono
A new event was announced and I stared at the format in disbelief. Axe Bots was bad enough, but a Chrono to boot!!!
Didn't the Craftsmen realize most clans were busy fighting off Scipio Aemilianus` forces in a do or die raid?
Or perhaps they were aware of the fact and had put on an event where those who weren't fighting Scipio would have an advantage.

Anyway, we were fighting hordes of his forces and I couldn't be spared from the frontline, so there was no point in registering.

After we had defeated Scipios incursion and I had gotten some much needed sleep I went over some footage from the climb. Seemed many had joined up and gotten medals without having much in the way of Axe Bots. I scanned through the fighting and came to the award ceremony. Those who had received the Gold medals this time had been:

  • Div 1 246+ (24 Commanders): Sheriff Leary Wretham, Warlock (+7190)
  • Div 2 -245 (13 Commanders): Paul Knight, Star League (+43620)
  • Div 3 -183 (13 Commanders): Ales Tomasec, Sorcerers (+40020)
  • Div 4 -138 (25 Commanders): Stroker Spot, Omegas Legacy (+6630)
  • Div 5 -110 (24 Commanders): Edmond Dantes, Steampunk Dragons (+30020)
  • Div 6 -87 (23 Commanders): Monte Wehr, Death`s Curse (+12290)
  • Div 7 -70 (21 Commanders): Jack Wade, M&L Rogue Angels (+30790)
  • Div 8 -52 (19 Commanders): Arikel, JC`s Rowdy Bunch (+41760)
  • Div 9 -35 (10 Commanders): Map Chap, UNDERWORLD (+7640)
  • Div 10 -26 (23 Commanders): BatManBW, Punishers Guild (+54210)
  • Div 11 -15 (18 Commanders): Zam Wesell, S.G.C.B.B_T.S.R. (+21670)
  • Div 12 -10 (10 Commanders): snowball7 (+1410)

Total Contestants: 223, Total medals claimed: 166 (of 180 possible)

4(G,2S)+1S+6(G,4S)+9(G,3S)+13(G,3S)+8(G,4S)+6(G,2S)+5(G,2S)+3(2S)+5(G)+3(1S)+7(G,3S)= Nine Golds(75%), twenty-seven silvers(56%) and thirty-four Bronzes(32%) went to Commanders who at the end didn't have obviously overweight formations.

Compared to the Point Mech event participation rose by 23. The spread were fairly even, but still a total of 14 Bronzes from four different divisions were sent for resmelting.

As usual in a Chrono most of the winners were clear hours before the end.
  • The narrowest win was on K12 where snowball7 won by 1410 points.
  • Highest margin was on K2 where Paul Knight of Star League ended 43 620 in front of the runner up.
  • Highest scorer was Arikel of JC`s Rowdy Bunch. 180 000 is top score in 144 rounds.

The margin between the lower placements this time were :

...........Silver-Bronze......Bronze-nothing
Div 1 ......4180...................2220
Div 2 ......7750.....................N/A
Div 3 ....11760.....................N/A
Div 4 ....13100...................2910
Div 5 ....17450...................5680
Div 6 ....18380...................5530
Div 7 ......8880.....................940
Div 8 ......4480.................11600
Div 9 ....22270.....................N/A
Div 10 ..11690...................1180
Div 11 ....9020.....................260
Div 12 ....2840.....................N/A

No clan managed to get more than one Gold this time. Unaligned snowball7 took his first Gold on K12 and we had two repeat winners. Both Arikel of JC`s rowdy Bunch and BatManBW from Punishers Guild took their third Gold in a row.

Upcoming event: Progressive Pileup
This is one of the special formation contests. While you might bring any Mechs you can fit into the formation, only certain Mechs will fight; From your front line the top Mech (pointmech), from the second line the two top Mechs and so on.
Equipment and weapons work as normal.

Event ends March 6 between 2200 and 2230 New York Time
