Highlighting the September 3334 Progressive Pileup Chrono
This was one of the events that really was problematic for me.
Not that getting a formation together was especially difficult, just a matter of removing a third of my main formation and rearranging the leftover Mechs to confirm to the format.
My team was in fact one of the first to enter, and stood proudly on the top for a while. But I wasn't there.
The event was overshadowed by family matters. There were birthdays and an anniversary, and I was busy on those occasions. My crew managed to do a good job. Largely due to the early points they secured a Bronze, and they even got me some notes and footage.
Those who got the highest scores this time were:
- Div 1 239+ (30 Commanders): Fabio Favaro, Warlock (+26720)
- Div 2 -238 (17 Commanders): Chris Zimmer, Northwind Dragons (+18400)
- Div 3 -175 (27 Commanders): Joshua Eifort, Northwind Dragons (+3450)
- Div 4 -130 (31 Commanders): James Waddington, Northwind Dragons (+23500)
- Div 5 -105 (27 Commanders): Leeboy Wegenast, B.S.L.R. (+32250)
- Div 6 -89 (29 Commanders): Chris Page, Death`s Disturbed Asylum (+28270)
- Div 7 -72 (45 Commanders): Fred Smith, Black Star Bandits (+35740)
- Div 8 -54 (24 Commanders): Mark Jarem, M.P.A. "Rangers" (+22440)
- Div 9 -42 (14 Commanders): Jerry Jones, Emerald Dragons (+11840)
- Div 10 -33 (20 Commanders): Yodayoda Woods, madcat (+26280)
- Div 11 -24 (28 Commanders): BigJohnStewart, Punishers Guild (+19900)
- Div 12 -16 (18 Commanders): Restlessmech, Punishers Guild (+38130)
Total Contestants: 310, Total medals claimed: 179 (of 180 possible)
Compared to the Triple Rainbow we had a drop in participation of 25 Commanders. Just like in that event, the narrowness of K9 meant we were short of contestants there, and one unclaimed Bronze were sent for resmelting.
Highest scorer this time was Leeboy Wegenast from Black Star Lycan Rangers on K5. 141 250 equals 113 scores on the top. Highest margin to the runner up was achieved by Restlessmech from Punishers Guild on K12, he scored 38 130 more than the runner up.
While all the gold winners had a five-digit margin, the differences were sometimes much lower when it came to the lesser Medals, as witnessed by the diagram below
........Silver to Bronze..Bronze to Nothing
Div 1 ....21200...............2185
Div 2 ....10340...............1620
Div 3 ......3220...............1200
Div 4 ......1000.................270
Div 5 ....12360...............3500
Div 6 ......9780.................575
Div 7 ......5260.................217
Div 8 ......1800.................465
Div 9 ........780.............N/A
Div 10 ......810.................120
Div 11 ....4530...............4980
Div 12 ....3180...............4000
The Silvers on K4, K9 and K10 were secured by 1000 or less margin, and on five tops the margin for the last Bronze was less than 600.
While the Punishers Guild did a good job and brought home the Golds from both K11 and K12, the Northwind Dragons did better by bringing home a triplet of Golds, from K2, K3 and K4.
There was no unaligned winners this time, but we had two repeat winners. Both Fabio Favaro and Chris Zimmer took home a second Gold in a row.
Upcoming event: Axe Attacks.
We have a semi-split event again. While no Commanders are allowed to use Mechs heavier than 20 tons, those not on K12 are further restricted. They are only allowed to use two non-Axe Bots. As always, a Commnader are free to ignore the rules and bring, say their main formation instead, but any illegal Mechs will be treated as blanks in the formation when it comes to fighting.
Equipment and weapons work as usual.
Event ends April 30th between 14:00 and 14:30, New York Time.
Any fresh winners can try to get in touch to tell their story, the first to grab hold of me before the report is finished might get a few Niodes for sharing their thoughts.
