May 3336 - Daemon Deadline

Highlighting the May 3336 Daemon Deadline

Yet another event was coming up. It was hard on the heels of the last one, and time was short.

Question I had to ask myself was if i had any business bringing my unfinished Daemons into harms way on K2.

The answer was clearly no. The opponents was way stronger than me, and bringing Mechs who isn't even a third of the level of the opposition is a sure way of having to Write "Deeply regret.." letters.

Instead I had a comrade promise to take notes and footage. After I had gone through it, the list of winners was:
  • Div 1 220+ (29 Commanders): Bernard Johnson, Warlock (5s)
  • Div 2 -219 (13 Commanders): Randy Taylor, Omegas Legacy (1h,8m)
  • Div 3 -153 (23 Commanders): Roman Himmelhan, Death`s Collectors (33m,37s)
  • Div 4 -119 (13 Commanders): Darren Jackson, M&L Blood Wolves (7h,36s)
  • Div 5 -93 (12 Commanders): Jack Wade, M&L, Necromaniacs (7h,55m)
  • Div 6 -77 (23 Commanders): Patrick T Kennon, M&L Necromaniacs (1h,4m)
  • Div 7 -59 (14 Commanders): Sandie Elgie, Death`s Acolytes(49m,47s)
  • Div 8 -45 (10 Commanders): Robert Pawulski, Punishers Guild (17h,9m)
  • Div 9 -33 (9 Commanders): Barnry Miller, Night Hammers (1h,43m)
  • Div 10 -27 (17 Commanders): BigJohnStewart, Punishers Guild (1h,34m)
  • Div 11 -19 (12 Commanders): Talos Whitefang, T.B-B.W. Shadow Wolwes (2h,41m)
  • Div 12 -13 (13 Commanders): Gabriel Fonseca (20h,12m)

2+9(2S)+7(2S)+7+5+7(2S)+6+2+1+0+0+0= 6 Silvers and 40 Bronzes were awarded to Commanders who had at least one Mech heavier than 50 ton.

Total Contestants: 188, Total medals claimed: 156 (of 180 possible)

Compared to the recent 20 ton event this was not what you could Call a well attended event. 75 fewer Commanders showed up, and there was 8 tops where there was more prizes than contestants. In the end 24 Bronzes were sent for resmelting.

Mount Olympus was the only top where the Gold changed hands the last half-hour, but it was a close call, last time it happened was 5 seconds before the light flashed. Five Commanders held on to the Gold for more than two hours. The action for the lesser Medals were in general subdued, just look at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:

.............Silvers......Bronzes

Div 1 ....1 of 4.........4 of 10
Div 2 ....4 of 4.........5 of 8
Div 3 ....3 of 4.........6 of 10
Div 4 ....4 of 4.........8 of 8
Div 5 ....4 of 4.........7 of 7
Div 6 ....3 of 4.........7 of 10
Div 7 ....2 of 4.........8 of 9
Div 8 ....4 of 4.........5 of 5
Div 9 ....4 of 4.........4 of 4
Div 10 ..4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 11 ..4 of 4.........7 of 7
Div 12 ..4 of 4.........8 of 8

Except for Mount Olympus there was few successful attacks, and on 8 of the tops there wasn't even one.

This time we had two clans who managed to bring home two top prizes. Myth & Legends Necromaniacs from K4 and K5, Punishers Guild from K8 and K10. We had an unaligned winner; Gabriel Fonesca on K12, and both of the Necromaniacs (Patrick T Kennon and Jack Wade) was winners last time as well.

Upcoming event: Orcus.

Event ends June 18 between 1800 and 1830 New York Time.
