Highlighting the January 3337 Buccaneer
A fresh short Climb was announced. This time it was another Mech Type: Buccaneer.
I am unsure how many Commanders have them around, especially in the upper echelons. I was out of Stock and decided to stay on the sidelines. Some friends who joined up brought me footage and notes. looking through them I discovered the winners had been:

- Div 5 -94 (12 Commanders): Tarandriel, Death`s Disciples (20m,50s)
- Div 6 -80 (19 Commanders): VMDL, Dinochrome Brigade (3h,43m)
- Div 7 -63 (9 Commanders): Jeremy Dela Cruz, M&L Rogue Angels (5m,12s)
- Div 8 -46 (10 Commanders): Marika Marque, Night Hammers (2h,9m)
- Div 9 -35 (11 Commanders): Rick Herlock, Night Hammers (2h,19m)
- Div 10 -26 (13 Commanders): Scott Tenge, Borg (18h,13m)
- Div 11 -18 (11 Commanders): Ben Madden (17h,35m)
- Div 12 -6 (10 Commanders): Christopher Bayliss (17h,51m)
Total Contestants: 159, Total medals claimed: 141 (of 180 possible)
I guess one could say this was a low point in the annals of the KotM. 35 fewer Commanders showed up compared to the 10 Red Ton event, and only a small minority was in correct formation. Only 3 tops had enough contestants to claim all the prizes, from the 9 other a total of 39 Bronzes were sent for resmelting.
On five tops the Gold was in play during the last half-hour, on two of them the decision wasn't reached until the last minute. On the remaining 7 tops the Gold was held for more than 2 hours. Fighting for the lesser prizes was uninspired to say the least, just look at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:

No tops where more than half the medals changed hands, and on half of them not even a single successful medal attack.
Night Hammers was yet again the only clan to claim multiple Golds. They had double triumph by claiming both K8 and K9.
Two unaligned Commanders took top prizes as well; Ben Madden on K11 and Christopher Bayliss on K12.
Rick Herlock from Night Hammers was the sole repeat winner this time.
Upcoming event: King Chrono
Here is a nice long unlimited Chrono. Use whatever Mechs you have that can fit into the formation, but remember to join up early, this event is decided on accumulated points, not on who is where when the light flashes.
Equipment and weapons work as normal.

Fresh winners who manage to get hold of me and tell their side of the story before the report is written might get some Niodes for their trouble. But as I am busy in the Multiverse I will be a hard man to catch.
