Highlighting the May 3337 King of the Mountain (unlimited)
Finally we had a use-the-best-you-have and slug it out event. No restrictions on lineup, no weapon bonuses, no favored Mech. Just good old fashioned battles.
I was at this time to busy in the Multiverse to even sign up, so I arranged for some team mate to get me some footage. I had vague ideas about coming back to slug it out, but quite forgot about the Mainverse. I wonder if that happened to more Commanders as well?

The loss of thirty-four contestants since the Selfsame was bad enough.
But the way the divisions were set up made it somewhat worse. It took the combined membership of the four least filled up divisions to match the number in the biggest.
For the first time in a while we actually sent Silvers for resmelting (2 of them), but we also sent a total of 31 Bronzes from 6 different divisions as well.
Only one Gold changed hands the last half-hour, but that was when it was less than a minute before the end. Ten of the remaining 11 were held for more than two hours.

There was at least some action on most of the tops this event. A total of 24 Medals from 8 tops changed hands. But except for the Gold fight on Mount Olympus this event were almost without high points.
We actually had two clans who managed a double Gold this time; the redoubtable Northwind Dragons on K2 + K3 and the scary clown clan on K9 + K10.
No unaligned Commanders managed to take a top spot this time.
On the other hand we had no less than 3 repeat winners this time: Warlock`s Dexter Berry, clown clan`s George Woods and Dan Fcjw from FASA was Real.
