February 3331 King of the Mountain

Highlighting the February 3331 King of the Mountain (unlimited)

After a string of failures to secure Medals on Mount Olympus I was dismissed back to K3. 

The opposition there was much lighter than among the demi-gods on K1, but I was still in the lower end of Commanders. Perhaps not grade wise, but certainly when it came to tonnage.

Still, I felt my chances were decent and joined up to try for the top.

Unfortunately I was not the only one who had noted my lack of success lately. My CO, Paulzilla, had seen and were as usually not impressed by my lack of success. He came and told me to return to base.

He is a man of few words, and this time he was even sparser than usual. "Paperwork, two dozen documents"

I went to his paperwork/prison bunker, and wondered why it couldn't wait till the morning. But it should be done in a snap, so no worries. Then the door clanged shut on me and I heard the bolts slide into place.

A look into the room made me start wailing, Paulzilla had put in a dozen CUBIC METERS of paperwork, all of it marked urgent, or for immediate attention.

Resigning myself to my fate, I met my crew and told them to hold position as best they could, make footage and take notes. There was no way I could get this workload done in time to be there for the scramble, and Paulzilla wouldn't let me out before the work was done.

A post-event review of the footage taken showed an appalling lack of fighting spirits on most of the tops. Those who made their way up and held the positions this time were:

39 fewer Commanders showed up for this event than for the previous Triple Rainbow. Reason? No real idea, but it might be the end time that throws them off.

Two Silvers and twenty-six Bronzes from the four lowest divisions were sent for resmelting this time. Not surprising, as their combined tally was just 80% of those who showed up in div 4.

This time there was almost no fighting, or at least very little successful fighting. Just have a look at the statistics if you don't believe me.

Not one successful attack was launched in the seven lowest divisions the last half-hour. In the five upper divisions there was some action, and two of the Golds changed hands. But a total of nine Golds were held for more than two hours.

The only clan who managed to get multiple Golds This time was the Brotherhood: BlackWatch. They secured the top spots on K3 and K5 during the last half-hour.'

Unaligned David Korbussa took home the K12 Gold, and might be a sought after addition for the upcoming Clan War.

We had two repeat winners this time; Both Jaime Beltran of Leviathan and George Warren of The Brotherhood BlackWatch repeated their Gold winning performances from the Triple Rainbow

Upcoming event: King Chrono

The rules are the same as for this event. No restrictions on the lineup. Equipment and weapons work as normal.

But it is in addition a Chrono, so it is not where you stand at the end that determines how well you did, but rather the placements you had when the positions were recorded. So join up soon, and climb as high as you can to get the points needed for good prizes
