Highlighting the January 3331 Ten Red Tons Chrono
Here was my second try on Mount Olympus in this cycle. Again an event where the opponents strenghts were diluted, but by no means enough for me to stand a chance.
It was an Ant Chrono, and the lowest graded regular contender had a piloting grade 60 higher than mine. That meant all the regulars had a minimum of 10 Mechs more than me and each of those Mechs would have at least 10 weapons more than mine. Armor would be up toward two and a half times the thickness of what my machines carried.
To add insult to injury, my boss had more paperwork that had to be done before I was allowed to register, so the opponents had gotten quite a lot of points when I showed up.
I have to admit, sometimes like in this event, I don't even bother trying to fight opponents above me. That is if they are in formation.
OOFs is another story, and I felled quite a few of them during the climb. That let me up into the lower and even middle foothills for short periods. Not somewhere I managed to hold onto, but enough to let me get a decent score.
The second lowest ranked Commander had more than 50 grades on me, and I ended as the Middleman (19 of 37) Those who claimed most points and won acclaim, Gold and Nephilax this time was:

4(1S)+6+1+0+1+0+5+1+4+6+6+3(2S)= Three Silvers and thirty-four Bronzes went to commanders who at the end had overweight formations.
The number of Commanders who showed up for this Ant-Chrono was the same as for the previous Fifty. But the spread were different this time, and instead of 9 Bronzes being unclaimed, it was 21 this time.
Sometimes it might seem it was no struggle at all in a division. But more often than not, that is someone being stronger and more alert than the opponents . That someone might be you someday, if you check the progress on the mountain and do some judicious attacks, a higher medal might be yours in the next Chrono

Besides the obvious "I should have joined up and gotten a free medal" some of those divisions show, there were quite few points difference on some of the Mountains. The Gold on K7, last Silver on K2 in addition to the last Bronze on K5 were all decided by less than a thousand points, that might well be the difference between joining early, and coming later.
Highest scorer this time was Sa Alice from UNDERWORLD (134 130) on K10. Highest margin (31 840) was achieved by KiloToneRecoil of Northwind Dragons on K3.
Two clans managed to secure double Gold in the climb; UNDERWORLD took K8 and K10 while ButthurtMonkeyHunters claimed K11 and K12. There were neither repeat winners nor unaligned winners this time.

In this event what tonnage you are allowed to use depends on what mountain you are on. The tonnage allowed is 1030 - 75 tons times your mountain number.
Equipment and weapons work as normal.
