Highlighting the September 3331 Fifty Chrono
Another event was announced. I had special tickets to K2 and it was a limited tonnage Chrono. As always on a Chrono, join up as fast as possible first, get into correct formation ASAP after wards.
Or as I found out, add another detail. Check the prizes first. On K2 the reward for getting a medal had taken a big jump. Not in the weapons you could win, but in the credits toward a higher piloting licence. I found out just as I had signed in that it had more than doubled.
Not that I don't want a higher licence, but as there are no Ferrite and Bioptics on the Mountains I don't want it yet.
It seemed more Commanders than me were dismayed to discover this fact. Except for the four who fought for the Gold, the rest had full Battle formations and seemingly a hope of some in formation showing up and taking their place so they could escape this generous award.
But there were less who showed up than there were medals available, so we were stuck.
I am less sure of those in battle formations on the other Mountains. It could be they switched in the later part of the climb to participate in the raids.
But the climb progressed as usual, some fought for and got better positions and lots of points. Others struggled in vain, but hopefully learned some lessons. Those who got the most points and received Gold, Nephilax and invitations to harder climbs this time were:
- Div 1 202+ (34 Commanders): Fabio Favaro, Warlock (+12530)
- Div 2 -201 (14 Commanders): Christine Mainer, Avengers of Bunny (+8430)
- Div 3 -146 (34 Commanders): Andy Bach, B.S.L.R. (+18120)
- Div 4 -111 (28 Commanders): Joshua Bourne, Northwind Dragons (+14340)
- Div 5 -90 (25 Commanders): Sebastien Roussel-Konan, K.o.C. (+29460)
- Div 6 -74 (19 Commanders): Richard M. Howes, Heroes R.R. (+20770)
- Div 7 -60 (23 Commanders): Stug Hill, Behemoth (+42570)
- Div 8 -46 (19 Commanders): Paul Olenen, Behemoth (+5860)
- Div 9 -34 (9 Commanders): greeneggsandspam, Behemoth (+29610)
- Div 10 -27 (19 Commanders): Sandie Elgie, clown clan (+23830)
- Div 11 -18 (11 Commanders): saskpendragon, ButthurtMonkeyHunters (+26670)
- Div 12 -14 (4 Commanders): Van Rudolph (+33460)
Total Contestants: 239, Total Medals: 158 (of 180 possible)
4+10(1S)+2(1S)+G+7+9(1S)+9(2S)+5(G)+2+0+0+0= Two Golds, five Silvers and fourty-two Bronzes went to Commanders that were overweight as the event ended.
Compared to the Pointmech event we lost 73 contestants. The spread were uneven, both K1 and K3 had as many Commanders each as K10, K11 and K12 had combined. A total of one Silver and twenty-one Bronzes were sent for resmelting after the medal ceremony this time.
There were few Gold winners who had low margins this time, the closest was for Paul Olenen of Behemoth on K8 where the margin was "only 5860". Highest margin was on K7 where Stug Hill of Behemoth had an impressive 42570 lead. Highest score went to greeneggsandspam on K9, also from Behemoth. 149 660 is close to a perfect score
Margins between the lesser medals in this event were:
.........Silver to Bronze......Bronze to nothing
- Div 1 ......9100.......................8365
- Div 2 ........770.......................N/A
- Div 3 ......6630.........................315
- Div 4 ....20530.......................5720
- Div 5 ....24940.......................1560
- Div 6 ......6460.......................1700
- Div 7 ......5820.......................4480
- Div 8 ....11230.......................4260
- Div 9 ......1300.......................N/A
- Div 10 ....5880.........................480
- Div 11 ......460.......................N/A
- Div 12 ......N/A.......................N/A
Last Silver on K2, and the last Bronzes on K3 and K10 was won by less than a thousand point margin. So join up early if there is a Chrono.
Ok. Considering the medals sent for resmelting, just join up.
Best clan this time was Behemoth. They got a triple whammy by claiming Gold on K8, K9 and K10. The unaligned winner this time was; Van Rudolph on K12
There was one repeat winner this time; greeneggsandspam of Behemoth
Upcoming event: Sixty
Here the only Mechs that will be allowed to fight are those having a weight of 60 tons or less. As usual, if you insist on bringing heavier Mechs, the Craftsmen will not stop you, but those Mechs will only exist as empty Spaces in the formation and reduce the odds of you getting a prize and a medal.
Equipment and weapons work as normal.
(Event ends January 30 between 0100 and 0130 New York Time)
