Highlighting the April 3332 Mountain of fire
This was the last special invitation I had. The event was one I don't especially fancy, Unlimited B (Fire specialist).
My stock of weapons is limited, and I don't have nearly enough good fire weapons to be a serious contender. In addition I was several hundreds of tons behind the others, none had less than 460 on me, and some had more than 1300. Add in the disparity in piloting licence where some were up to 60 above me, and it would be a real challenge.
But I got my crew ready, and marched them over to the mountain. After being let in we set up a lager in the plains, and then I had to leave for conferences. My calendar was pretty tight, but I should be free at around t-6 hours.
Then complications arose. It seemed this date was something special, and my wife told me it was a day for romance, affection and bringing your special loved one gifts and taking them to some romantic dinner.
Now, what husband in his right mind would refuse to do such things?
Wrote a hand calligraphy gift card, travelling to the Jungle moon for exotic flowers, scaring up the owner of the best chocolate shop so he would make an after business hour sale took some time.
Then it was bringing gifts, and taking her out. As the time for the scramble neared, she wondered what else I had in mind.
What else? From her expression it seemed it wasn't something I should do with her, but rather for her. Then inspiration struck.
"Well I thought I would win a new Nephilax and give it to you"
It seemed it wasn't quite what she had wanted, but as a romantic gesture it was akin to facing dangerous foes for your beloved. After settling the bill we took a limo to the mountain and got out. It was just a minute until the scramble started, but I asked her to give me a kiss for good luck.
She gave me one. Slow, lingering and perfect. I lost myself in that kiss and the embrace of my beloved. Finally we broke apart and the whole world lightened up. It took me a second to realize what it meant. Early ending, in the 3rd minute.

Total Contestants: 322, Total medals claimed: 171 (of 180 possible)
Compared to the Single Rainbow this was a great success. An influx of additional 70 Commanders made this one of the most popular events lately. The spread wasn't even though, and especially K10, only open to those who had piloting licence between 17 and 20, had much fewer contestants than the average.
A total of nine bronzes, 8 of them from K10, was sent for resmelting this time
While lots of Commanders joined up for the event, the activity was subdued to say it mildly. It could be that the end time or the shortness of the scramble, (about 3 minutes,) threw the timing off. Or it could be overpowering strength by those who were high up on the mountains. Either way, the number of lesser medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event was:

Not one mountain where not at least half the medals were held for at least a half hour, but only two, - K2 and K11, where no successful attacks were launched the last half-hour.
It was some fluidity among the Gold medals, four of them changed hands at least once during the last half-hour. Six Golds were held for more than two hours, four of them for more than a day.
The Isle of Misfit toys was the only clan to secure more than one Gold, they claimed both K2 and K3. There were no unaligned winners, and no repeat winners either
Upcoming event: Reverse Ratman
Again a split event. For those on K7-K12 it is 80 ton max, For K1-K6 it is a Namtar event where all but two Mechs must be Namtars. The last two can be any models, as long as their individual tonnage is 80 or below.
Equipment and weapons work as normal.
Event ends February 15 between 1500 and 1530 New York Time.
