Highlighting the February 3332 Cruiserweight (65 tons)
After my unanticipated success in the Oggun climb I had been issued special invitations to the four following climbs.
The first of these were a (light) cruiserweight contest.
We had one in june `31 as well, but at that time the heaviest Mechs allowed was 70 ton, this time it was only 65 ton.
My forces were woefully lacking of combat ready Mechs in that tonnage, one line of Megazomes, a pair of Smilidons and a trio of Oresters was all I had.
That meant my formation would have to consist of mostly mediums and even light Mechs if I wanted it at full weakness.
Then there was the question of the fame factor one would get for securing a medal, to much to my liking.
Finally it was the time.
The scramble would start at local time oh-dark-nothing, and after the Meta, I was at least 200 hours in the red when it came to sleep.
Weighing all these factors, I reluctantly came to the conclusion that I would not attend the event.
After I woke up, there was some footage to watch. Some of it was quite spectacular, from other mountains it was panoramic views and peaceful coexistence. The footage from the medal ceremony showed the winners had been:

Total Contestants: 243, Total Medals: 160 (of 180 possible)
1+4(3S)+0+0+0+5(1S)+0+0+0+0+0+0= Four Silvers and six Bronzes went to Commanders who had overweight formations/point Mechs this time.
Compared to the recent Oggun/60 ton event we had, the participation was almost the same, just 1 less showed up. On the other hand, the brackets had changed, and the numbers on each mountain shifted. End result was 20 Bronzes being sent for resmelting.
K2 and K12 had fewest participants this time. K12 is for those just starting, and have been plagued by a lack of contenders for a time. K2 is for those near the top. But after the fame factor for medals was increased there, the contestants have in general been fewer.
Four Gold medals changed hands at least once during the last half-hour, one of them in the last minute. Seven Golds were held for more than two hours, three of them for more than a day.
When you have so many long-held Gold medals, one have to wonder. Is it because the medal holder is unapproachable, or because of a lack of general fighting? It could be either or both. You might get a clue from looking at how many of the other medals were long-held. In this case the number of lesser medals held for more than 30 minutes in the event was:

Full tilt action on Mount Olympus, and no successful action at all on the four lowest mountains. On the other tops it varied from one successful Gold attack (K8), to pretty decent action on K7. On K2-K6 more than half the medals were held during the entire scramble.
Upcoming event: Limited tonnage
Here you are allowed only a certain amount of total tonnage in the formation.
1660 ton minus 135 tons times your division number. ( 1525 on Mount Olympus and gradually reduced until it is just 50 ton on K12 )
If you should exceed this limit, the craftsmen will disqualify Mechs until the total tonnage you have is at or below the allowed tonnage.
Equipment and weapons work as normal.
Event ends February 10 between 1800 and 1830 New York Time.
