Highlighting the March 3332 Limited tonnage
A new event was announced. It was a Limited Tonnage, and here in the Mainverse it meant the restrictions were real. Most Commanders wouldn't be allowed to use more than 30-40% of their full formations this time.
Not that it seemed to matter for many, more than half the contestants seemingly brought their main formations, and generally were at a severe disadvantage compared to those who had abide by the restrictions and had full lines.
I had been approached by some old friends I lately had neglected, and been pulled along for a night at the town. After visiting more watering holes than I can remember, and hoisting more drinks than I should, I disengaged and went over to the mountain.
Problems arose.
Firstly; the scramble was already underway.
Secondly; I had forgotten to enter!!! A trip back to the compound revealed that Thirdly; I had neglected to prepare a formation.
A friendly advice: Make formations in advance, and don't do it under time pressure when the alcohol is whispering stupid advice.
Eventually I had a formation ready, and it were marching toward the mountain. About 100 meters before I reached the entrance gates, the light flashed, and the event was over.
Studying footage, and talking to those who had been there gave me some pointers as to what had happened, and spectating at the medal ceremony gave more. The winners this time had been:
- Div 1 249+ (27 Commanders): Fabio Favaro, Warlock (11m,35s)
- Div 2 -248 (14 Commanders): Bob Schlomer, HF: Mecha Pirates (7m,57s)
- Div 3 -180 (21 Commanders): KiloToneRecoil, Northwind Dragons (6s)
- Div 4 -134 (30 Commanders): Joshua Eifort, Northwind Dragons (56m,8s)
- Div 5 -113 (35 Commanders): Jelloshots Succeddown, T.B. BlackWatch (59s)
- Div 6 -92 (36 Commanders): Grego, PHOENIX (1d,19h)
- Div 7 -73 (32 Commanders): Albores Jam, M&L Blood Wolves (2m,4s)
- Div 8 -55 (20 Commanders): Cora Soco Hiller, today and tomorrow (12m,48s)

- Div 11 -24 (15 Commanders): Fingal Blunt, Standfast (23h,29m)
- Div 12 -18 (17 Commanders): Rick_Howes (4h,54m)
Total Contestants: 275, Total medals claimed: 175 (of 180 possible)
6+11(2S)+5+2(1S)+2+4(1S)+10+6+8(1S)+7(2S)+9(2S)+10(2S) = Eleven Silvers and sixty-nine Bronzes (60%) were awarded to overweight Commanders this time.
My timepiece had the ending in the 19th minute. For some of the mountains it seemed the end signal had been faked a long time in advance, while other tops had vicious fighting, at least on the slopes, until the light flashed.
Six Gold medals changed hands at least once during the last half-hour, two of them the last minute. Five Golds were held for more than two hours, two of them for more than a day.
When it comes to the rest of the fighting, the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event was as seen below:
.............Silvers......Bronzes
Div 1 ....0 of 4.........2 of 10
Div 2 ....0 of 4.........9 of 9
Div 3 ....1 of 4.........6 of 10
Div 4 ....3 of 4.........9 of 10
Div 5 ....3 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 6 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 7 ....2 of 4.........9 of 10
Div 8 ....4 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 9 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 10 ..4 of 4.........6 of 6
Div 11 ..4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 12 ..4 of 4.......10 of 10
No successful action on five of the mountains, and the total number of medals who changed hands in the nine lowest divisions the last 30 minutes was only eleven.
The hardest fighting was on Mount Olympus where only two Commanders held on to their medals the whole scramble, the numbers were seven on K3 and nine on K2.
Best clan in this event was the Northwind Dragons, they secured their double Gold by claiming K3 and K4. This events unaligned winner was Rick_Howes on K12. There were none who repeated their wins from the Cruiserweight.
Upcoming event: E Pluribus Unum (Single Rainbow)
Here you are allowed to bring all kinds of Mechs. But only one of each model are allowed to fight in the tournament, so be sure to get rid of duplicates.
Equipment and weapons work as normal.
Event ends: February 11 between 1900 and 1930 New York Time.
