Highlighting the March 3334 Double Rainbow
Another climb was announced, Double Rainbow this time. That is not my best event, although much better than the collector event (Single Rainbow).
On my regular top (K4) I would have been hard pressed. As I somehow had ended up on Mount Olympus my odds of a medal seemed non-existent.
But the only way to be sure of not getting a medal was to stay at the compound.
My formation was brought forth, and after some serious hassle at the entrance we were grudgingly let in.
All the spots on the mountain itself were claimed, but we managed to find a spot within striking distance of the foothills.
The strikes we launched was as feared ineffective. The massive armor of the competition shrugged off the few blows we managed to land, while the return blows hit true and reduced at least one Mech to scrap for each hit.
After dozens of unsuccessful tries I gave up and started preparing for the upcoming struggles. Those who stood firm on the tops, or captured them in time to get the honors this time were:

Compared to the King Chrono participation was reduced by 104 Commanders.
Reasons could be many, the most likely is probably the fact it ended such a short time before the first battleday. A total of 14 Bronzes were sent for resmelting after the medal ceremony, eight of them from K10 who had the narrowest entry gap.
It seemed many of the contestants were more focused on the coming war than the Climb. That is not to say all was, and five Golds changed hands the last
half-hour. Four were held for more than two hours. On the lower parts of the Mountains the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event was:

At least half the medals were held through the whole scramble on all the tops.
On five tops, K2 and the four lowest, there was no successful attacks at all.
Two clans managed to grab two Golds this time; Northwind Dragons did it on K2 and K3, while Punishers Guild brought home the Golds from K10 and K12.
There were no unaligned winners this time, and no repeat winners either.
Upcoming event: Front Line Fight
This is the traditional event between battle days two and three. As most Commanders are expected to be pretty much shot up, you are only required to have Mechs in the forward line. You are free to bring more Mechs, but only those in the first line will be involved in the fighting. So trample have no effect here, adjusting shields, weapons and equipment to reflect this is recommended. The Forks and Splash is much better suited to this event.
Equipment and weapons work as normal.
