Highlighting the June 3335 Front Line Fight
Sometimes the mid war event is a balm on the soul, a place to hit again and again without worrying if those losses is going to reflect badly on the team score.
Other times it is something to avoid. Perhaps to not give away secrets, or as in my case, the fame factor had gotten too high.
This time it was a front line event, and as I had been promoted to K2 recently, the only problem I faced was the levels of the opposition. None of us could bring more than five Mechs, so the normal tonnage differential wouldn't be a factor.
But as I would be among the lowest ranked, anything better than a Bronze was highly unlikely, and the fame associated with that medal was almost seven times that of what the Gold winner on K5 would get.
I decided to spend the time visiting my injured instead, friends had promised to get me notes and footage. A later review showed the winners this time had been:

Total Contestants: 409, Total medals claimed: 174 (of 180 possible)
Compared to the prewar event, the Quadruple Rainbow this time the number of Commanders who showed up more than doubled, an influx of 221 additional fighters. Unfortunately, while there were plenty of Commanders around, the entry gap to K9 was to narrow to get a full complement there, and as for K2, could it be the fame factor was a bit too high for many?
From those two tops a total of six Bronzes were sent for resmelting.
Lot of frantic fighting, at least for the Golds the last half-hour this time. Seven Golds changed hands at least once, four the last minute and two the last second.
Only two Golds were held for more than two hours.
Fighting varied from severe to non existing as seen by the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:

K3 had the highest fluidity. The only other top where more than half the medals changed hands was Mount Olympus. On K2, K10, K11 and K12 no successful medal attacks was launched.
In this event both the Leviathan/Collectors/Heroes/Toys (K2 + K3) and the Emerald Dragons (K5 + K6) managed to get double Gold. But the newly renamed clan, Nick`s Folly, who is struggling in the lowest tier of the Faction War did better. They claimed triple Gold (K8 + K10 + K11)
No unaligned Commanders managed to secure a Gold, neither did any of the last event winners.
Upcoming event: Point Mech Panic
After a big war, especially a Faction war, few formations are worth much in combat. So this time all you have to bring is one single Mech. What Mech you choose to use and how to equip and arm it is solely up to you, but top of the line Mechs and equipment, speedy weapons having crit-kill, freeze and slow have been a successful recipe in the past.
Equipment and weapons work as normal.
