Highlighting the December 3336 Dirty 30
Yet another event was coming up, this time it was perhaps the favorite event of mine, Dirty 30.
Here you are allowed only Mechs of 30 tons or less, and in recent events of that type i had done well. However, this time there were complications.
Due to recent events I had to make a long and difficult journey through parts of the galaxy that only could be traversed by star ships, and as such would be unable to be present during the scramble.
Sighting with real regret I sought out a clan mate who would participate and persuaded him to make some recordings of the fights for me. Later I reviewed them and found out the winners this time had been:
- Div 1 212+ (35 Commanders): Claude Poirier, Leviathan (14s)
- Div 2 -211 (14 Commanders): Randy Taylor, Omegas Legacy (4h,32m)
- Div 3 -159 (32 Commanders): Calen Riggs, Omegas Legacy (39s)
- Div 4 -113 (22 Commanders): Leeboy Wegenast, Phoenix (3h,44m)
- Div 5 -94 (20 Commanders): Albores Jam, M&L Blood Wolves (17h,54m)
- Div 6 -76 (29 Commanders): Jack Wade, Sabbatical (1h,34m)
- Div 7 -57 (21 Commanders): Waitai Rihari, JP`s Rowdy Bunch (6m,14s)
- Div 8 -42 (17 Commanders): Jeffrey Richey, Punishers Guild (12h,10m)
- Div 9 -30 (15 Commanders): Brick House (7h,13m)
- Div 10 -23 (19 Commanders): BatManBW, Punishers Guild (7h,7m)
- Div 11 -13 (5 Commanders): Enigma (1d,11h)
- Div 12 -11 (19 Commanders): mtd (1m,20s)
1+8+3+3+3+8+4+4+4+6(1S)+1(1S)+0= 2 Silvers and 39 bronzes was awarded to Commanders who had at least one overweight Mech in their formations.
Total Contestants: 248, Total medals claimed: 169 (of 180 possible)
We had a slight increase in the number of Commanders who showed up, 3 more than in the Progressive Pileup.
Again we had narrow entrances, and this time the entrance to K11 was so narrow that only a third of the spots were taken. The imbalance was pretty bad all over, the 3 tops who had fewest contenders, (K11, K9 and K2) had a total of 34 contestants, Mount Olympus alone had 35.
Four Golds changed hands the last half-hour, two of them the last minute. Six Golds were held for more than two hours, one of them for more than a day. the struggle for the lesser prizes wasn't especially bloody on most tops, as witnessed by the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:
.............Silvers......Bronzes
Div 1 ....1 of 4.........5 of 10
Div 2 ....2 of 4.........7 of 9
Div 3 ....1 of 4.........6 of 10
Div 4 ....4 of 4.........9 of 10
Div 5 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 6 ....4 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 7 ....2 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 8 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 9 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 10 ..4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 11 ..4 of 4.........0 of 0
Div 12 ..4 of 4.......10 of 10
Only on Mount Olympus and K3 did more than half of the Medals change hands, and we had six tops without a single successful medal attack.
Two clans managed to secure a double Gold this time. Omegas Legacy did it on K2 and K3 while Punishers Guild secured the top prizes on K8 and K10. We had a trio of unaligned winners; Brick House on K9, Enigma on K11 and mtd on K 12.
None of last events winners managed to get a second win in a row.
Upcoming event: 10 Red Tons
This should be a no-brainier. Only Mechs of 10 ton and less are allowed. The only Mech who fulfills that requirement is the Red Ant. All other models will be treated as a blank spot in the formation.
Equipment and weapons work as normal.
Event ends between 2200 and 2230 July 6 New York Time
Fresh winners who manage to get hold of me and tell their side of the story before the report is written might get some Niodes for their trouble.
