Highlighting the November 3336 Progressive Pileup
It was my second special invitation to K2 in this cycle.
A Progressive Pileup this time.
In general that is a format that appeals to me. The fewer the Mechs involved the better my odds of getting a good placement seem to be, so normally I would have waded right in and fought tooth and nail.
But the situation wasn't normal for me. My stocks of resources was close to nonexistent, and only a handful of my Mechs was fully developed. With a sight of regret I continued my search for resources, and hoped the friends who went there would remember to bring me footage.
That they did, and after reviewing it I found the winners this time had been:

Total Contestants: 245, Total medals claimed: 161 (of 180 possible)
Participation dropped by 58 compared to the Triple Rainbow Chrono. The spread this time was pretty uneven. The four tops who had fewest participants had a total of 41 Commanders, while Mount Olympus had 35 by itself.
Some might be because of narrow entrances, but the fact that only 6 Commanders showed up at K2, where the entrance was 52 levels wide indicates a lack of interest for the huge fame factor one gets for medals there.
A total of 19 Bronzes was sent for resmelting.
Only two golds changed hands the last half-hour, while nine were held for more than two hours, seven of them for more than a day. Fighting for the lesser medals seemed pretty uninspired as well, just look at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:

The only top where more than half the Medals changed hands this time was K6. On eight of the tops not even a single successful medal attack was launched
No single clan managed to get more than one Gold in this event. We had several unaligned winners; Rob Chelgren on K10, Dizzy Cat on K11 and Jacob Chelgren on K12.
None of the Triple Rainbow winners managed a follow up Gold.
Upcoming event: Dirty 30
Here we have a max tonnage event. No Mechs heavier than 30 tons will be allowed to fight. Personal favorites is in order: Novum, Nerio, Banshee, Commissar and iMech.
Equipment and weapons work as normal.
Event ends between 0100 and 0130 July 6 New York Time.
Fresh winners who manage to get hold of me and tell their side of the story before the report is written might get some Niodes for their trouble.
