Highlighting the January 3338 King Chrono
Here we got a nice long unlimited event, stretching over the x-mas season.
The drawback was it was a Chrono, so to get a decent score one needed to join up early and stay focused.
I was still heavily involved in the Multiverse and couldn't spare the time to come back and put my troops into harms way. But some friends promised me some copies of their gunnery footage.
It took a while to sort through it, but at last I found the winners had been:
[Highest leveled Commander in Division]
- Div 1 [362] (26 Commanders): Dexter Berry, Warlock (+57180)
- Div 2 [240] (16 Commanders): George Warren, Northwind Dragons (+20740)
- Div 3 [171] (29 Commanders): James Waddington, T.B. BlackWatch (+20310)
- Div 4 [131] (49 Commanders): Jelloshots Succeddown,T.B. BlackWatch (+27500)
- Div 5 [102] (24 Commanders): retiredarmyman, Dath`s Disturbed Asylum (+23970)
- Div 6 [82] (28 Commanders): Fred Smith, Black Star Bandits (+41560)
- Div 7 [68] (34 Commanders): Ken Freon, JP`s Rowdy Bunch (+18860)
- Div 8 [50] (16 Commanders): Waitai Rihari, JP`s Rowdy Bunch (+36770)
- Div 9 [40] (17 Commanders): Recoil, JC`s Rowdy Bunch (+30110)
- Div 10 [30] (22 Commanders): Douglas Rainey, Punishers Guild (+1310)
- Div 11 [21] (17 Commanders): giles66, Karma (+26810)
- Div 12 [15] (17 Commanders): Jared Eugene Thurne (+49150)
Total Contestants: 295, Total medals claimed: 180 (of 180 possible)
Could be the long event drew more Commanders in, we had 86 more than in the preceding Fire mountain.
While the divisions were pretty loop sided, K4 alone having as many contestants as K2, K8 and K9 combined, there was enough Commanders in each division to claim all the medals.
Highest scorer in this event was a split honor. Both unaligned Jared Eugene Thurne on K12 and Recoil from JC`s Rowdy Bunch on K9 got 178 750. That is the score you get if you claim the top and stay there for 143 consecutive score rounds.
Warlords Dexter Berry on Mount Olympus had the highest margin to the runner up, 57 180.
Lowest score to get a medal was on K11 where 14 840 was enough.
Ten of the winners had a margin of more than 20 000, so those winners were clear long before the end.
On K10 the contest was much narrower. A win by just 1310 is not much more than one score round at the top while the competitor haven't joined up yet.
In general, it was closer when it came to the other Medals, just notice the difference between the medal tiers in this event:
......Silver to Bronze...Bronze to nothing
Div 1 ......2120...…...…..6200
Div 2 ......3720.............20720
Div 3 ......7900...…...…..6720
Div 4 ....22370...………...615
Div 5 ....21180...……..….550
Div 6 ......8980...……….1450
Div 7 ....10040...…...…..3460
Div 8 ....19560...….......14240
Div 9 ....15320...…...…..2600
Div 10 ....7560...…...…..2020
Div 11 ..22460...……..….880
Div 12 ..11220...…...…..2240
The Silvers in the top two divisions were not that secure, as for the Bronzes it was especially close on K4, K5 and K11.
Both The Brotherhood-BlackWatch (K3 + K4) and JP`s Rowdy Bunch (K7 + K8) got a double triumph in this event.
Unaligned Jared Eugene Thurne took the Gold on the lowest top. The only one of the Fire mountain winners who managed a second win in a row was Warlock`s Dexter Berry.
